Dear Prospective Buyer,
Do you love being close to downtown with great restaurants and entertainment easily accessible? Do you love riding your bike or walking on the greenway? Do you enjoy the convenience of close shopping? If your answer is yes, then this is the house for you.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose to purchase this house years ago. We loved its charming character and private backyard, instantly. The fact that it had two full bathrooms almost sold us on the spot, not to mention all of the storage space. But, the location is something we truly loved.
Lets Talk Location.
What are you close to living at 2108 Wake Forest Road: EVERYTHING
Over the years, we walked to Lilly’s Pizza for dinner, the NoFo for brunch, or to High Park Bar and Grill to watch a game with friends. At only 1.5 miles to Five Points, it’s a great way to burn those calories you just ate eating pizza, hot cakes, or wings while having a beer.
Getting downtown is also easy. It’s about a five minute drive to great dining in the center of Raleigh. You can also ride your bike downtown to Raleigh Times for lunch on Saturday or to Glenwood South for a slice at Mellow Mushroom. If you enjoy craft beer, there are also several craft breweries very close by (Big Boss and Sub Noir). And, you are very close to great bottle shops (Crafty Beer, Tyler’s, Tasty Beverage, and Bottle Revolution). If you enjoy live music or shows, Meymandi Music Hall, the Lincoln Theater, and the Raleigh Downtown Amphitheater are minutes away. There are also several museums downtown.
For groceries, if you like to shop at Trader Joe’s, it’s a hop, skip and a jump, only about a mile as you head toward the Beltline when you are on your way to the beach or the mountains. If you prefer to buy in bulk, CostCo is right across the street, along with Kroger, and Whole Foods is not too far away. North Hills, which is just a couple miles up Six Forks road also provides lots of shopping options. There is a Harris Teeter, a Target, and lots of other great boutique shopping. There are also great restaurants in North Hills, including Mura, Mia Francesca, The Cowfish, and The Coquette. Crabtree Valley Mall is also about 5 miles away and offers lots of great shopping and restaurants.
The Capital City Greenway is less than a mile from the house. This give you access to several miles of greenway trails including those leading to the NC Art Museum and Umstead Park. Also, the neighborhood directly behind the house and across the street is great for walking/jogging. If you need a quick jog, the Mills/Mial loop directly across the street is one mile and a good workout!
Let’s Talk House.
What a great house! It is charming, has loads of character, and is a great place to enjoy spending time with friends and family (including pets, if you have them). The kitchen is great and has loads of counter space for a smaller home. We once hosted Thanksgiving with eight people and everyone had a great time! The yard has great flower beds and a privacy fence that makes you feel secluded when enjoying grilling and dining on the deck. There is plenty of space behind the home to park 2-3 cars and still have plenty of yard to play. If you chose to have a dinner party, guest have a perfect place to park, directly across the street on Mial. The neighbors are great too! Everyone is very friendly.
We truly enjoyed living at 2108 Wake Forest Road, and we hope that you will too.
Sincerely,
The Johnsons
